I will be entering the multiple subject credential program here at CSUSM this Fall and I am very nervous and excited. I hope that I can use the experiences that I have gained from teaching preschool in the program and beyond. Through my observations in Edu. 350 I discovered that I have an interest in middle school. I am still deciding what I should do with that new information!
I hope that I am able to get more comfortable with technology in general and I am interested in seeing what Mac's have to offer. I am always looking for new ways to appeal to my students so this class is a great learning opportunity for me. I know that there is so much that is available through technology and I look forward to becoming familiar with some of these features. It is also nice to know that we have the support of our more experienced classmates if we need it!
Hi Britni,it looks like you are very involved with the development of children. Preschool is a very fun place to work. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it to you, but if you have interest in teaching middle school you can take thirty credits in a single subject area, and when you have completed the credential program you can tack on a middle school credential with your multisubject credential.See you in class Monday.
ReplyDeleteHi Brit,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that we are on the same level when it comes to technological skills. . . we can help each other through the class! Web 2.0 applications such as My Space and Face Book offer countless networking opportunities and are a great way to keep in touch. However, I do not have an account for either. I also use "google" daily :) I am so excited that we will be able to take this class together and I know that you will enjoy using a Mac!
All of us seem to be on the same mind set with technology. I am an older student and I am challenged as well. I wonder who is actually up to speed besides the computer geeks.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on graduating this summer! Preschool sounds like it would be really interesting to be a part of but i think you'll have a lot of fun being a teacher in the school system. Good Luck with furthering your studies.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely need to update your knowledge and skills in technology, especially its educational use. However, keep a critical eye on the effectiveness of technology.
